We will collect, use, process, store, transmit, provide, disclose, delete (collectively referred to as “process”) and protect your personal information as required by applicable laws and regulations and this Privacy Policy (this “Policy”). This Policy will introduce the type of your personal information we collect in our products/services, the scope and purpose of our use of such information, and the processing, transfer and our protection thereof.

We collect from you only such personal information as you agree with and provide it to us. In addition to the personal information described under this Section 1, please refer to Section 2 “Why do we process your personal information?” for the specific types of personal information we may process during your accessing, browsing and use of the Social Media Pages of AkzoNobel.

If we combine the information you provide to us with the information from your interactions with AkzoNobel or that provided by a third party, the combined information will also be considered as personal information. To prevent fraud and ensure security, our affiliates, parent company and partners will provide your personal information with us pursuant to applicable laws or subject to your separate consent.

In addition, we have entered into an agreement with each third party supplier with respect to technical, organizational and contractual measures (Data Processing Agreement) to ensure that your personal information is only processed for the above purposes and is protected.     Subject to your separate consent, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries/regions that are not your country/region of residence. In such case, we will inform you of the organizational or personal name and contact information of the overseas recipient, the purpose and method of the processing, and the type of personal information involved. We will ensure that such information transfer and processing comply with the stipulations of applicable laws. The information protection laws in such countries/regions may differ from those in your country/region of residence (in some cases, such laws may provide insufficient protection). Although our group companies and third party suppliers operate business globally, our servers are all located in the European Economic Area, which means that we may process your personal information collected by us in any country/region within the European Economic Area, in which process we will comply with the PRC laws and the provisions in the following paragraph. The personal information protection laws in countries/regions outside the European Economic Area may be insufficient. However, we will have measures in place at all times to ensure third parties use your information in accordance with this Policy, and we will comply with applicable legal requirements to ensure your information is fully protected. We will ensure the personal information transferred to any other countries/regions is fully protected. Therefore, we will implement AkzoNobel’s Privacy Rules for Customer, Supplier and Business Partner Data, or execute contracts/agreements with relevant third parties. We may adopt, among others, the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission for the transfer of personal information, under which personal information recipients shall protect the personal information processed by them in accordance with the data protection laws in the European Union.
